S800
Year: 1965 Model Code: UP15

Introduced at the 1962 Tokyo Motor Show, the Sports 800 is the Toyota's very first sports car. It was designed by Toyota engineer and aircraft designer Tatsuo Hasegawa who, just like an aircraft, built the car to be lightweight and highly maneuverable. However, it failed to enter the US market due to its small size and lack in power. Out of the 3,131 units ever built, only around 300 remain working to this day.
